Discipleship for Law Students to Change the World

At Regent University School of Law the members of the law faculty have a strong sense of mentoring and discipleship.  This year a group of women law students are part of a central discipleship group which involves a two hour commitment every two weeks where we focus on bible study, prayer, and training aspects of discipling others, including evangelism techniques, bible study methods, leadership components of discipleship, and mentoring generally to include life, legal practice, and family responsibilities for any woman who is called to the Great Commission, but particularly in the practice of law.

Discipleship in this manner aids a future attorney in developing an eternal perspective while advancing professionally in law school. The result is simultaneous progress in vocational and Christian growth through discipleship.

This discipleship toward Christian maturity will pay deep dividends in each woman's abilities toward personal and family discipleship going forward.  It is very exciting as a faculty member to be involved in not only mentoring law students academically, but helping them grow spiritually as well, to restore families and build Christian leadership that changes the world.
