Regent Alums Find Jobs Despite Slow Economy

Seasonally Regent Law reports to the National Association for Law Placement complete employment numbers for graduating classes. The numbers for the class of 2008 were absolutely superb.

2008 Regent Law graduates were employed at a rate of 94.4%! That shows the extreme success in job placement Regent Law graduates have had. This number places Regent among the top 100 schools in the country for job placement. Furthermore, this is the goal we had set for ourselves in our strategic plan – so we as a faculty are very pleased, to say the least.

God has shown His faithfulness to new lawyers here at Regent, as this employment percentage is the highest in recent memory. The support staff in our Career and Alumni Services is excellent, and they continue to assist with career counseling and motivation. We praise the Lord for His blessing on all these efforts – both of the law school faculty and staff, and of the graduates in their job searches.

Even though the class of 2009 is facing an exceptionally difficult job market, the results of the past year ought to engender courage to move forward in the confidence of God’s faithfulness, and the support He uses to surround a law graduate from Regent University. “Brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.” I Corinthians 15:58.

is more than a profession… it’s a calling.
