On Friday, November 20 Representative Michele Bachmann (Minn.) was welcomed to Family Law at Regent by a full house of eager law and government students wanting to learn how Rep. Bachmann has impacted Foster Care and Adoption through state and federal legislation. A list of legislative accomplishments reveals a bipartisan representative that has enormous concern for children to be restored to families. As a member of the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute's Advisory Board she works to raise awareness about children in need of permanent families around the world.
As a mother of 5 and foster parent of 23 children, Rep. Bachmann shared how she and her husband Marcus Bachmann raised children with the idea that "anybody can make it if they know someone is crazy about them!" As I had been in Europe just days before welcoming Rep. Bachmann to class, I thought it fascinating that the rest of the world also realizes her significant contributions to global and family policies.
Congresswoman Michele Bachmann is a national representative who sees family restoration as positive public policy.
