Ohio's Heartbeat Bill - Hope for Family Restoration

State legislators in Ohio are considering a statutory proposal that would protect every beating heart from its first beat - at six weeks from conception until it stops beating at life's end. All 99 Ohio state representatives received a red heart balloon this week on behalf of this "Heartbeat Bill."
The promotion for the bill includes an entertaining video (at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RD9WAXo9Bdc&feature=related ), and a promotional educational video (at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGfVH_LSfqg ) which discusses the bill and gives a little bit of its history. The bill itself can be viewed at http://www.heartbeatbill.com/ .
Family Restoration begins with an understanding of the need to protect every life, and from the first heartbeat is a great place to start. Ohio has a history of being ahead of the curve in the area of abortion regulation. That State led the way on the legal prohibition of the gruesome procedure of partial birth abortion far in advance of all other jurisdictions, helping greatly to spark the national debate which concluded with a prohibition of the D&X abortion that terminated the unborn life during birth.
A victory on the Heartbeat Bill would go a long way not only to protect babies in Ohio, but to protect the lives of all babies from the moment that their hearts first begin to beat.
