What's Happening with Marriage?

The law on marriage in the United States is a significant part of the fiber of the nation, yet state laws which govern marriage are currently under federal challenge. CitizenLink put together a video discussing the conflicting laws on marriage throughout the United States and what to look for before the Supreme Court of the United States, which you can view on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxFvw8KoSVI&feature=youtu.be.  It reveals an interesting interview with Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and it summarizes the federal circuit decisions on state law.

This report alludes to the influential 2013 case of Windsor v. U.S., which you can understand better by downloading and reading "Federalism and State Domestic Relations Power in Windsor (and Perry), " at http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=2462093.  What happens with marriage over the next few months will influence American culture, and affect family strength in entirely new ways.
