Family Restoration and Family Strength

Family restoration is what makes America strong – or not – and it begins at home.  During these challenging times parents, children, grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles all make a tremendous difference.  As you focus on your family, make it strong.

Regent University’s statement yesterday is helpful in this objective as we together advance to new heights.
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (June 4, 2020) – Regent University mourns the tragic and wrongful death of George Floyd. We are heartbroken during this time, and we deplore every instance of racism, police brutality and evil acts of violence. We stand in support of all efforts of peaceful protest. We must emphasize forcefully that we are completely against rioting, looting, the wholesale destruction of private property and the taking of innocent lives.
Together, we look to the LORD and His Word for guidance. The Book of 1 John is clear in its charge to love one another and to place all our hope in Jesus Christ:
“7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” (I John 4:7-11, NKJV)
Regent University’s mission is to bring forth Christian Leadership to Change the World. We are committed now more than ever to our mission, to placing our hope in Jesus Christ and to living out Christ’s example of humility and love toward all.
It is urgent that all members of the Regent community humbly seek the LORD and plead for His mercy and for the healing of our nation and communities. May the LORD reign in our hearts; may His Love prevail; and may His Holy Spirit prompt us to Holy acts of love.

Keep your family safe and strong – you will never regret that effort.
