The Weight of Glory

Every single person is a reflection of the Glory of God, made in His image, the imago dei.  The weight of that Glory reminds us that how we treat each other is a key to all of life.

The relevance of this notion to our culture today is illuminated in “’The Weight of Glory’ Turns 80,” by Joseph A. Kohm, Jr., in The Gospel Coalition.

This Weight of Glory is right before you in your family.  Remember, your spouse, your child, your parent, your sibling, your family member is your closest neighbor.  Let God be the restorer of your family.

“Next to the Blessed Sacrament itself, your neighbor is the holiest object presented to your senses.”    –C. S. Lewis, “The Weight of Glory”
