In March of 2009 President Obama created an executive order to conduct research using human embryonic stem cells. Such research necessarily requires the destruction of human embryos. This executive order was recently funded with a $5 billion government grant to NIH announced by the president by news conference. Furthermore, this news story indicates NIH is establishing guidelines for the research in response to that Executive Order, naming the individuals who will be part of the research group.
Research on embryonic stem cells requires the destruction of human embryos, which necessarily destroys that human’s future. With this research each embryo’s opportunities to be implanted, gestated and born into any family becomes absolutely impossible. Family restoration will never be possible for each human embryo used in embryonic stem cell research. Human destruction and family breakdown is federally funded with this project.
