Rejoice greatly… Your King is come...He shall speak peace… and His dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth.
Zechariah 9:9-10
This proclamation from the Old Testament prophet Zechariah signals the state of affairs when Christ the King arrives – first as a human baby at Christmas bringing peace to all human hearts who welcome Him, then at the final Advent of His second coming to judge, when His dominion shall be not only from the river to the sea but “from sea even to sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth.” Those who trust in Him will be saved.
