This post is from the Family Policy Alliance's Joseph Kohm III, Director of Public Policy:
In a massive win for vulnerable children, the South Carolina State House recently concurred with the State Senate and passed H. 4624, the “Help Not Harm” bill, and Governor Henry McMasters signed it into law. H. 4624, which is based on our model Help Not Harm bill, will protect vulnerable South Carolina children struggling with gender dysphoria from the irreversible harm of so-called gender transition procedures. These dangerous, experimental, and irreversible procedures include mastectomies or “top surgery,” as well as puberty blocking drugs and cross sex hormones. South Carolina is now the 23rd state to pass a Help Not Harm bill, protecting vulnerable children from these barbaric procedures. |
We want to especially congratulate our friends at Palmetto Family Council, who have worked tirelessly on this multi-year effort to pass a Help Not Harm bill and protect children struggling with gender dysphoria. |
