What is in store for
you and your family in 2022? Might you
need some healing of relationships, or restoration among individuals? How is that even possible?
Scripture speaks to
the “newness” of things, as in Lamentations 3:22-23 which proclaims that God’s
compassions, or mercies, “never fail. They are new every morning . . . .”
In prophesying about the coming of the Messiah, Isaiah announces in 43:19, “See
I am doing a new thing! Now, it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making
a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” In writing about life in
Christ, Paul declares in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in
Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (NIV).
As we all begin 2022, and the world may seem increasingly subject to change, Scripture
reminds us that God works in and through all our hurt, and pain, and the
changing world. At the same time, Scripture makes clear that God and His Word
do not change. “I the Lord do not change” (Malachi 3:6a). “The grass
withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever” (Isaiah
40:8).
Examining Scripture in midst of pain, hurt, and change is critical to
determining how best you and your family can handle whatever you may be dealing
with – and how to let God reveal His mercies toward restoration of your family.
He says so clearly, “I AM the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too
hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27).
Restoring your family
is never too hard for Him. Let Him work in your life and family in 2022..
